Russian troops launched drone strikes on Ukrainian territory early on Friday. Ukraine’s Air Force Command reported a total of 31 drones, 23 of which were shot down over Ukraine’s Odesa, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions by air defenses.

Additionally, Ukraine’s Air Force said that Russia launched three missiles from S-300 systems located in occupied territory in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, as well as a Kh-31 anti-radar missile and two Kh-22 supersonic cruise missiles from the Black Sea.

In Odesa, debris from a downed drone hit a business and started a fire. Three employees there were killed, reported Ukraine’s Defense Forces South. Odesa governor Oleh Kiper said missiles were also used in the attack on the region.

A drone hit a multi-story apartment building in the city of Dnipro. As of 5 a.m. local time, there was information on eight injured residents, said Dnipropetrovsk Governor Serhiy Lysak. Rescuers are working to clear the rubble, and there may be more people trapped underneath.

Lysak stated that a business in Dnipro was also damaged.
