Russia declares RFE/RL ‘undesirable organization’

Source: Meduza

Russia’s Justice Ministry has added Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) to its registry of “undesirable organizations,” according to the agency’s website. The registry shows that the Prosecutor General’s Office decision to designate RFE/RL as “undesirable” is dated February 2, 2024.

The Prosecutor General’s Office did not officially announce Radio Liberty’s designation as an “undesirable organization.” The Office usually announces the designation before the Justice Ministry adds an organization to its registry.
