Man dies after setting off explosive device in psychological assistance center in Russia’s Republic of Kalmykia
One person died and two others were seriously injured in an explosion at a psychological assistance center in Elista in Russia’s Republic of Kalmykia, reports TASS.
The center is on the ground floor of a residential building, and about 30 people had to be evacuated after the explosive device went off.
The Telegram channel Shot wrote that a visitor to the center, Sergey D., set off the device after a conflict with employees. He died at the scene. A psychologist and her husband were injured.
Law enforcement officers conducted a search of the suspect’s house, during which another explosion occurred, injuring three Russian National Guard members.
The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case into the explosion at the psychological assistance center. It did not specify the article under which the case was opened.
