Russian authorities order 90-day closure of club where ‘almost naked’ party was held over alleged food poisoning incident
A Moscow court has ordered the city’s Mutabor nightclub, where TV presenter Nastya Ivleeva held her celebrity-filled “almost naked” party last month, to close for 90 days.
The request to suspend the club’s operations came from Russia's consumer welfare agency, Rospotrebnadzor, which accused the establishment of violating sanitary requirements after a customer reportedly got sick from beer purchased there. According to state media, the situation came to the authorities’ attention after the “infectious disease patient” was found to have been at the infamous party.
The court considered the case behind closed doors, purportedly to protect the privacy of the infected customer, whose identity Rospotrebnadzor confirmed using his bank card number and receipt from the club.
