Poet Lev Rubinstein hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by car in Moscow
Russian poet Lev Rubinstein has been hospitalized after he was hit by a car in Moscow, poet and journalist Igor Irtenyev reported on Tuesday.
The collision reportedly happened on Monday at an unsignalized pedestrian crossing. According to Irtenyev, Rubinstein was immediately taken to the city’s Sklifosovsky Emergency Hospital, where he underwent surgery.
TV Rain reported that the poet sustained multiple bone fractures and a traumatic brain injury.
Rubinstein, one of the founders of the Moscow Conceptualism movement, is 76 years old.
