Russian Defense Ministry says Ukrainian missile shot down over western Russia

Russia’s Defense Ministry says air defenses shot down a Ukrainian S-200 anti-aircraft missile “converted to hit ground targets” over Russia’s Lipetsk region. The ministry did not report any damage.

Earlier, Lipetsk governor Igor Artamonov said that a Ukrainian drone was detected in the region. Artamonov reported that there were no injuries and no damage to infrastructure. He did not report about a missile attack.

Ukraine has not commented on the reported missile attack.
