Russia’s Foreign Ministry says U.K. behind Ukraine’s attack on Belgorod

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that the United Kingdom was behind Ukraine’s December 30 strike on the Russian city of Belgorod.

“Britain, in coordination with the U.S., is instigating the Kyiv regime to terrorist acts, understanding that the counter-offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces has failed,” Zakharova told journalists. According to her, E.U. countries also bear responsibility, as they continue to supply Kyiv with weapons.

Zakharova added that Russia has requested an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council in relation to the incident.
