Russia’s Justice Ministry has added theologian Andrey Kuraev, a known critic of Russian Orthodox Church positions, and Alexander Baunov, a senior fellow at the Carnegie Russia Eurasia Center, to its “foreign agent” list.

The ministry also added animator Oleg Kuvaev, journalist Alexander Ryklin, Dozhd journalist Valeria Ratnikova, lawyer and Roskomsvoboda co-founder Sarkis Darbinyan, as well as publications Verstka and Mozhem Obyasnit to the registry.

In its statement, the ministry said that almost all individuals and publications included in the list have spoken out against the “special military operation.”
