Ukraine’s Security Service and Main Intelligence Directorate struck the Marine Oil Terminal in the town of Feodosia in annexed Crimea overnight on December 5, report Ukrainian outlets RBC Ukraine and Hromadske.

According to the sources, Ukrainian drones attacked an oil depot, which provides Russian forces with fuel. The drones reportedly hit the target, with “quite significant” consequences for the Russians, writes Ukrainska Pravda. Approximately 30 fuel tanks were located at the terminal site.

Earlier, Russian Telegram channels Baza and Astra reported that both drones which attacked the Marine Oil Terminal were shot down by Russian air defenses. Drone debris crashed in the area of the oil depot, one around 100 meters (328 feet) from an oil tank. Russian media noted that there was no information about damage or casualties.

According to one of Ukrainska Pravda’s sources in the security forces, Ukrainian Security Service drones hit a helicopter parking lot, a P-18 Terek radar system, and a Baikal-1M anti-aircraft missile control system during a drone attack near the village of Strilkove on the Arabat Spit, as well as a Nebo-M radar system near the village of Baherove, on the night of December 5.

Russia’s Defense Ministry says that 41 Ukrainian drones were downed over the waters of the Sea of Azov and in Crimea on the night of December 5. During the drone attack, residents of Crimea reported hearing explosions in Feodosia, Kerch, and Staryi Krym.
