Two of Kadyrov’s children included in Russian delegation to COP28 climate summit in Dubai
Two of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov’s children, 23-year-old Khadizhat and 18-year-old Akhmat, were included in the Russian delegation to the COP28 climate summit, which is currently taking place in Dubai, according to a list of the event’s attendees.
Chechen outlets and the Grozny Department of Pre-School Education, which Khadizhat heads, announced her participation in COP28. As part of the summit, they reported that she “has bilateral meetings planned, as well as presentations at various sections.”
Khadizhat has reportedly already met with Nisreen Tamimi, the head of the Palestinian Environment Authority, and Hussein Makhlouf, Syria’s Environment Minister. At both meetings, Khadizhat spoke about “the importance of humanitarian work.”
Based on video clips posted to the Department of Pre-School Education’s Instagram page, Akhmat Kadyrov is participating in the meetings together with his sister. He’s listed as “Chairman of the Council of the Regional Branch of the All-Russian Public and State Movement” in the preliminary list of those registered to participate in COP28.
