Russian general reportedly killed in Ukraine ‘far from the line of combat’

Source: Meduza

Russian Major General Vladimir Zavadsky was reportedly killed in Ukraine on November 28. A statement from the alumni association of his military school did not give a cause of death; however, Telegram channel VChK-OGPU reports that the general died after stepping on a landmine “far from the line of combat.”

The Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet commented on the information about Zavadsky’s death. As Important Stories notes, this is the twelfth report of senior Russian Armed Forces officers killed since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
