Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold both his call-in show, “Direct Line with Vladimir Putin,” and a large press conference on the same day.
“On December 14, Vladimir Putin will recap the year’s events. It will still be a television program, and it will be a combined format of “Direct Line” and the president’s end-of-year press conference,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
According to Peskov, Russians can send in their questions starting December 1. This year, staff from the All-Russian People’s Front will handle this task. Russian journalists, as well as employees of foreign publications who are “accredited and continue their work in Moscow,” will take part in the event, Peskov added.
In 2022, amid the first year of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Putin canceled several of his traditional speeches and addresses, including his previously annual call-in show “Direct Line with Vladimir Putin” and his traditional end-of-year press conference.
