Russia adds former Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov to ‘foreign agents’ registry

Source: Meduza

The Russian Justice Ministry has added former Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov to its registry of “foreign agents.”

Other new additions to the list include historian Ilya Venyavkin and journalists Ilya Davlyatchin and Idris Yusupov.

The ministry said in a statement that Kasyanov was added to the list because he spread “false information” about decisions made by Russian authorities and spoke out against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, among other things.

Kasyanov served as Russia’s prime minister from May 2000 until February 2004.
