Russian air defenses thwarted an “attempted drone attack” on Moscow overnight on November 19, reported the city’s mayor Sergey Sobyanin.

According to Russia’s Defense Ministry, the drone was shot down in the Moscow region’s Bogorodskoye district at around 1:00 a.m.

No one was injured and there was no damage, according to Sobyanin.

Russian media reported that drone debris fell on the Gorkovsky Highway near the village of Monino and the town of Staraya Kupavna. The falling debris caused a traffic jam and hit one of the cars on the highway.
