Zelensky says Ukraine has seized the initiative from Russia in the Black Sea
Speaking at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation on Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine has successfully seized the initiative from Russia in the Black Sea.
[We’ve] created conditions in the security sphere that have forced the aggressor to retreat from the eastern part of the waters and try to hide its military ships. It’s in the Black Sea that, for the first time in the world, a fleet of naval drones has begun operating — a Ukrainian fleet.
I also want to emphasize that one of the main results of our actions is that Russia is now unable to use the Black Sea as a platform for destabilizing other regions of the world.
Additionally, Zelensky noted that Ukraine has secured the protection of the western part of the Black Sea, enabling the export of Ukrainian goods through maritime corridors.
