The Kursk Nuclear Power Plant was attacked by drones on Thursday evening, the Telegram channel Baza reported.

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Telegram that three unmanned aircraft were “destroyed” or “intercepted” between 7:30 p.m. and midnight. According to Baza, all three of the drones carried explosive devices and were targeting the Kursk NPP. Two of the devices failed to detonate, the channel said, while the third one exploded near a nuclear waste storage facility, damaging the building’s exterior.

The Kursk NPP’s press service later confirmed that the facility was attacked by “three enemy UAVs” but said there was no damage and that the plant was operating normally.
