Oryx analyst Jakub Janovsky said that another 15 helicopters were damaged, possibly beyond repair.

On October 17, the Ukrainian military announced that it had struck airfields in Luhansk and Berdyansk, causing damage to Russian equipment and facilities. According to Western media, Ukraine used ATACMS missiles, which the U.S. had recently sent to Ukraine, to strike the airfields.
