Vladimir Putin has arrived in China for a state visit. His plane landed in Beijing on Tuesday morning.
The Russian president is scheduled to attend China’s Belt and Road Forum, where he plans to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines.
In addition, Putin has meetings planned with the presidents of Mongolia, Laos, and Vietnam, as well as with the prime ministers of Thailand and Pakistan.
The visit is Putin’s second trip abroad since the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant against him in March 2023 on charges that he ordered the deportation of Ukrainian children.
