Three people injured in Ukraine’s Poltava region in overnight Russian attack

Russia launched an overnight drone and missile attack on Ukraine on October 16, reported Ukraine’s Air Force.

The Russian military launched one Iskander-M ballistic missile, five Kh-59 missiles, and 12 Shahed-136/131 drones, according to Ukraine’s Air Force. Ukraine shot down two Kh-59 missiles and 11 drones.

Filip Pronin, governor of the Poltava region, said that missile debris damaged several houses in the region. According to preliminary reports, three people, including a 10-year-old child, were injured in the attack. They were hospitalized.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, one missile was shot down and another crashed in the region’s Dnipro district, reported the regional head Serhiy Lysak.

Andriy Raykovych, governor of the Kivrohod region, reported that a drone crashed in the region, injuring one person, who was taken to the hospital.
