Zelensky announces Defense Industries Alliance, companies from 19 countries have already joined

At the first International Defense Industries Forum in Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the creation of the Defense Industries Alliance, calling it “[a]n alliance that values international law and is capable of working for the real protection of international law.” He added that he was “talking not only about Ukraine, but also about the security of any nation in the world from aggression.”

Zelensky underscored that the world’s “standard of defense” was “being determined precisely in Ukraine.” He added that Ukraine is interested in localizing weapon production and collaborating on production of foreign equipment.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that 38 companies from 19 countries had already joined the alliance.
