Russia launched 15 Shahed drones into Ukraine overnight on September 23, reported Ukraine’s Air Force.

The drones were launched from the Russia town of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the region of Krasnodar Krai and directed toward Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Ukraine’s Air Force, along with air defense systems, destroyed 14 drones.

12 drones were shot down in the Dnipropetrovsk region, according to Nikolay Lukashuk, chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council. According to him, a critical infrastructure target was damaged in Dnipro. The authorities in the Zaporizhzhia region did not comment on the drone attack.

Russia also attacked Ukraine’s Odesa region with Onyx missiles, reported Natalia Humeniuk, head of the joint press centre of Ukraine’s Defense Forces South. “Two missiles hit a recreational area of the Odesa region, but it is open territory. There is no critical damage or injuries,” she reported (as cited by Ukrainian news outlet Suspilne). Earlier, Odesa governor Oleh Kiper told residents of the region’s Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district to seek shelter.
