The Russian military attacked the southern Odesa region with 25 Shahed-136/131 drones overnight on September 3, the Ukrainian Air Force Command reports.

The attack lasted approximately four hours and came from southern and southeastern directions (the Chauda Cape on the Kerch Peninsula and the town of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Krasnodar Krai).

Ukrainian air defense systems shot down 22 of the 25 drones.

Representatives for the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that port infrastructure was hit in the attack, though they did not specify where exactly. Two civilians were reported injured.

Ukrainian media reported that the targets of the attack were the Izmail Port and the Reni port.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said that it launched a drone attack on fuel storage facilities used to supply military equipment to Ukraine’s Armed Forces in the port of Reni in the Odesa region overnight on September 3. The ministry reported that the intended target had been hit and successfully destroyed.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine posted photos of a fire caused by the overnight attack being extinguished in the Odesa region.
