Belgorod governor reports one killed in attack on border town

Belgorod governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that Ukraine’s Armed Forces shelled the Russian village of Urazovo in the Valuysky District, killing one person.

According to Gladkov, one of the shells hit a private residence. A man inside the residence sustained shrapnel wounds and then died of his injuries. Another two local residents were seriously injured.

Earlier, Gladkov reported that Ukraine’s Armed Forces had twice attacked the Russian village of Dolgoe using explosive devices dropped from drones. No one was reported injured.

Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that it repelled a drone attack by Ukraine. The ministry’s statement said the drone was shot down over the Belgorod region.
