Russia’s Defense Ministry says that Russian troops intercepted three attempts by Ukraine to hit targets inside Russia with drones on August 13.

At 11:00 a.m. on August 13, according to the Defense Ministry, Russia’s air defenses shot down one drone over the Belgorod region and another, at 11:30 a.m., over the Kursk region. Later, the ministry reported shooting down a second drone over Belgorod at 1:30 p.m. The ministry says none of the attempted attacks resulted in casualties or damage.

Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported a drone shot down in the region. The Kursk regional authorities have not commented.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said earlier on August 13 that a drone was shot down over Belgorod at around 4:00 a.m. The ministry blamed Ukraine for that incident, and reported no casualties or damage.

Telegram channel Baza reported that during the night of August 13, drones attacked the Belgorod region twice, with one striking a home in the village of Belovskoye and the other falling near the village of Petropavlovka.
