Source: Meduza

The Chinese Consulate-General building in Odesa was damaged during Russia’s overnight attack on the city, reports Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper.

“The aggressor deliberately struck port infrastructure — the surrounding administrative and residential buildings were damaged, as well as the consulate of the People’s Republic of China,” Kiper wrote on Telegram. He also posted photos of the damaged building.

The Chinese Consulate-General is located at № 2 Nakhimov Lane, near Odesa’s Port. Photos from the scene seem to show that the building’s windows were broken.

Kiper says that the overnight shelling in Odesa killed one person and injured eight others, including three employees of Ukraine’s State Emergency Services.

Russia also attacked the cities of Mykolaiv and Sumy. One person is known to have been killed in Mykolaiv. In total, more than 20 people in the region were injured.

Ukrainian Air Forces command says that during the night of July 20, Russia launched 19 rockets at southern Ukraine, including Oniks and Kalibr types, and 19 suicide drones. Five rockets and 13 drones struck their targets.
