Evgeny Prigozhin, founder of the Wagner Group military cartel, said on June 18 that 32,000 former prisoners have returned home after having fought for Russia in Ukraine.
According to Prigozhin, Wagner fighters who gained their freedom after serving Russia in the war subsequently committed a total of 83 crimes, “80 times fewer than among people who were freed during the same period without signing on with Wagner Group.”
