The village of Blahodatne in the Donetsk region has been liberated by the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade “Oleksa Dovbush” and other units of Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
The brigade’s press service posted a video which shows Ukrainian soldiers entering a partially destroyed building and raising a Ukrainian flag over it. The Ukrainian military’s land forces also reported that Blahodatne was liberated. The Russian authorities have not yet commented on the Ukrainian military’s statements.
Earlier, those close to Russia’s Defense Ministry wrote on the military-focused Telegram channel Rybar that Ukraine’s Armed Forces had taken Blahodatne and the village of Neskuchne “almost without a fight.” According to the channel, military from the self-declared “Donetsk People’s Republic” retreated in order to avoid being encircled by Ukraine’s Armed Forces. Vladimir Rogov, a representative of the Russian-appointed authorities in the annexed Zaporizhzhia region, also reported that the Ukrainian army had taken Neskuchne.
Ukraine’s Armed Forces have also likely liberated the village of Lobkove in the Zaporizhzhia region. On June 9, a geolocated video was posted showing a Ukrainian soldier on the outskirts of Lobkove. The video’s location indicates that Ukraine’s Armed Forces have advanced by approximately five kilometers (3 miles) from the front lines. On June 11, the Russian pro-war Telegram channel WarGonzo wrote that Ukraine’s Armed Forces have brought personnel and equipment through Lobkove.
