Russian authorities block all sites of human rights advocacy group OVD-Info

Source: Meduza

Russia’s federal censorship agency, Roskomnadzor, has blocked all of the websites run by the human rights advocacy group OVD-Info. The authorities have not provided a reason for the blockage, according to the organization’s statement.

OVD-Info noted that its news site and its legal information site are still accessible from Russian territory with a VPN. It’s also continuing to update its main site, which was blocked by Roskomnadzor in 2021, as well as its social media accounts.

OVD-Info is an independent organization that assists people facing political persecution in Russia. Among other things, it collects, summarizes, and publishes information about people arrested for protesting in Russia.
