Kyiv authorities say city’s air defenses downed 40 Russian drones and missiles overnight

Kyiv City Military Administration head Serhii Popko has reported that air defense forces shot down 40 Russian drones and cruise missiles over the city on Sunday night. “No strikes on Kyiv were permitted,” he wrote on Telegram, noting that this was Russia’s 15th attack on the Ukrainian capital since the start of May.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that missile debris had fallen in the city’s Sviatoshynskyi and Podolsky districts, but added that no homes or infrastructure targets were damaged and nobody was killed or injured.
Russian forces tried to attack other parts of the country last night as well. According to Ukraine's Air Force, a total of 67 air targets, including 37 cruise missiles, were downed throughout the country.
