Source: Meduza

Telegram messenger has confirmed that a vulnerability has been detected in its macOS app available via the App Store. The desktop app that can be downloaded from the company’s website doesn’t have this problem, Telegram clarified in a tweet.

The vulnerability makes it possible for malware to access a user’s camera and microphone.

The company says it has already eliminated the weakness in a new update just submitted to Apple. Once approved, a more secure desktop version of Telegram will be available for download from the App Store.
