France pledged to send dozens of armored vehicles and light tanks to Ukraine after a surprise three-hour meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday.
According to a joint statement released by the two countries, France also agreed to support Ukraine’s air defense capacities and to provide training for Ukrainian soldiers along with its EU and NATO partners.
Additionally, the statement notes, the French government has provided Ukraine with two mobile DNA testing laboratories to aid war crimes investigations. The document emphasizes that this aid will continue to grow in the future.
