Russia declares Carnegie Endowment and publication Agentstvo ‘foreign agents’

Russia’s Justice Ministry has included the musician Semyon Slepakov, the journalist Pavel Kanygin, and the publication Agentstvo on its list of “foreign agents,” according to the ministry’s website.
The list now also includes the publicist Igor Yakovenko; the Carnegie Endowment; Pavel Muntyan, the creator of the animated web series Mr. Freeman; the publication Poligon; and Moscow-based LGBTQ+ rights group, the Rainbow Association.
