Russia carries out overnight drone attack on Odesa

Russian forces carried out a drone attack on Odesa and the wider Odesa region early Tuesday morning, according to local authorities and the Ukrainian military.

Ukrainian media reported that Odesa residents heard explosions in the night, but that the city authorities didn’t declare an air raid alert until a few minutes after the blasts.

According to Odesa district military administration representative Serhiy Bratchuk, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 14 of the 17 drones that Russia sent. He also said that a business in the Odesa region was damaged in a fire caused by the attack, but that there were no casualties or injuries.
