BBC News Russian points out that the Russian Unified State Register of Legal Entities has a new entry, listing “PMC Wagner” as a joint-stock company.

The corporation was added to the register on December 27, with a capital contribution of just 10,000 rubles ($145), the minimum required for establishing this type of entity. The number of shareholders and their names are not specified.

The new company shares its corporate address with the PMC Wagner office building, which opened in St. Petersburg last November. The building is used for “patriotic” youth events, among other things. Its construction was funded by Riteil, a corporation officially headed by Evgeny Prigozhin since the new building’s inauguration.

The new corporation, PMC Wagner, is registered as a management consulting business whose activities run the gamut from book publishing to research to aircraft leasing. This is the first company to be registered in Russia under a name containing the designation “PMC Wagner.”
