A new decree issued by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Monday grants Roskomnadzor, the country's federal censor, the ability to ban websites that contain information about LGBTQ+ people.
Under the new policy, among other changes, the presence of “information promoting non-traditional sexual relationships and (or) preferences, pedophilia, [or] sex change” will now be considered grounds for banning sites.
