Ukrainian authorities reported Friday that Russia had launched a series of missile attacks on multiple regions through the country. An air raid alert was declared on all of Ukraine’s territory.

The Ukrainian President’s Office called on citizens to prepare for missile strikes and take cover in bomb shelters.

Ukrainian Telegram channels reported explosions in the country’s Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions as well as in the city of Zaporizhzhia. Air defenses were also reportedly activated in the Kyiv region.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported explosions in the city’s Desnianskyi District.

According to Kharkiv Regional Governor Oleg Sinegubov, Russian troops carried out three strikes on critical infrastructure in the region. Preliminary reports indicated that there were no casualties, though Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov warned of possible power outages due to a strike on the city’s electrical infrastructure.

Mykolaiv Regional Governor Vitaliy Kim estimated that about 60 missile strikes were carried out throughout Ukraine.

In the Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, and Sumy regions, authorities shut off electricity in anticipation of possible missile strikes to come.
