A drone attack near an airfield in Russia’s Kursk region caused an oil storage tank to catch on fire early Tuesday morning, Regional Governor Roman Starovoit reported.
The governor didn’t specify the extent of the damage or which airfield he was referring to. “No victims. The fire is being contained,” he wrote on Telegram.
The Telegram channel Mash published a video of the fire. In the video, the person filming claims that the airfield on fire is the Kursk Vostochny Airport, which has been closed by order of the Russian Air Force since February 24.
