5.6 billion rubles (about $91.45 million) were sent from Russia to Kazakhstan through money transfer systems in October 2022, according to RBC. That’s reportedly 13 times more than the amount sent in October of last year.
As RBC noted, October was the first full month after Vladimir Putin announced mobilization in Russia.
According to Kazakh Labor Minister Tamara Duisenova, after September 21, more than 400,000 Russian citizens entered Kazakhstan, and 320 of them have since left.
