30 Penza women demand military prosecutor call their conscripted relatives back from Ukraine
A group of women from Penza have reportedly demanded that their regional military prosecutor call their mobilized relatives back from the front line.
According to the independent Russian outlet 7x7, approximately 30 women assembled outside of the office of the prosecutor for the Penza Garrison on Monday and said that their relatives were sent to war with no training. The women demanded that the men be called back from the combat zone and trained, local journalists reported.
The protesters also said that the conscripts have practically no food, water, or decent weapons. Instead of training, they said, the men were lectured about “heroism.”
According to journalist Igor Alekseyev, the region’s governor refused to meet with the women, citing his busy schedule.
