Russian media reports Ukrainian strike near radioactive infrastructure at Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant
According to Russian media, Ukrainian artillery forces launched a strike on the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant on Friday. “Four strikes were recorded in the area of the radioactive isotope storage facility,” the Enerhodar occupation authorities reported.
The nuclear plant’s radiation levels remain normal and no damage was done to the station’s infrastructure, according to Interfax.
Zaporizhzhia collaborationist administration head Vladimir Rogov reported earlier on Friday that the Zaporizhzhia plant had stopped delivering power to the parts of the country still under Ukrainian control. He accused the Ukrainian military of severing the only remaining power line that delivered energy from the plant across the Dnipro River.
Later, the Ukrainian state energy company Enerhoatom reported that the plant had been partially reconnected to Ukraine’s power grid.
