Zelensky: Russian strike on train station kills 15, injures 50 in Dnipropetrovsk region
A Russian missile strike on a train station in Chaplyne, Dnipropetrovsk region, has killed at least 15 people and injured 50 others, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said during a speech at the UN Security Council on Wednesday.
Update. During his evening address on Wednesday, Zelensky said that the death toll from Wednesday’s attacks on Chaplyne had risen to 22 people.
“Four passenger cars are burning…Rescuers are working. But unfortunately, the number of dead may still increase. This is how we live every day. This is how Russia prepared for this meeting of the UN Security Council,” Zelensky said via video link.
The Ukrainian authorities did not report the attack on the train station prior to Zelensky’s speech.
