Signs to bomb shelters to be placed in Sevastopol, Crimea

According to his Telegram channel, Sevastopol governor Mikhail Razvozhaev has ordered that signs to bomb shelters be placed around the city.

"Since we're still at alert level "yellow" [terrorist threat], we checked the state of our bomb shelters at the weekend. I gave instructions for signs to be placed everywhere shelters are located, and for basements to be marked with placards bearing the phone and apartment numbers where the keys [to the shelters] are located," the head of Sevastopol said.

Razvozhaev published a number of videos on his Telegram channel taken in the shelters. They show bunk beds, as well as boxes with sand and gas masks. Others in the videos said that the shelters can be quickly connected to the water supply.

We've received a lot of questions on social media about the signs: where they are, and it what condition. The enemy's main goal is to sow panic, and we shouldn't succumb to the provocation. Sevastopol us under the umbrella of our air defenses.

Interfax reported that Razvozhaev has ordered the creation of volunteer street patrols in Sevastopol. The governor said at a meeting in the city government that he had received messages from people willing to participate in patrols day and night. He also suggested creating a chat-bot where residents could report suspicious people and cars.

In the last few days, Sevastopol has repeatedly triggered the air defense system. On August 20, the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol was attacked by a drone.
