🏥 Photos emerge showing former Rusnano CEO Anatoly Chubais recovering in hospital bed after rare syndrome diagnosis

Journalist and celebrity Ksenia Sobchak shared two photos on Wednesday showing former Rusnano CEO Anatoly Chubais recovering in a hospital bed after being diagnosed with a rare immune-system disorder called Guillain–Barré syndrome. According to Sobchak, Chubais is still dealing with partial facial paralysis and difficulty moving his arms and legs and closing one eye.

Sobchak, who broke the story earlier this week about Chubais’s illness, did not reveal where in Europe he’s been hospitalized, though the Italian media says he is being treated on the island of Sardinia.

After leaving Rusnano in December 2020, Chubais served as Vladimir Putin’s special representative for relations with international organizations. In late March 2022, he resigned and left the country in an apparent protest against the decision to invade Ukraine. Once Chubais was abroad, law enforcement agencies reportedly started investigating him and several past associates on corruption allegations.
