Belarusian opposition leader and former presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya (Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya) has been added to the Russian Interior Ministry’s wanted list, RIA Novosti reports.

TASS source in law enforcement explained that Tikhanovskaya was added to a wanted list in her home country of Belarus, but will also be considered wanted in Russia, since she has appeared on an inter-state wanted list.

In Belarus, Tikhanovskaya stands accused of inciting actions that threaten national security.

Svetlana Tikhanovskaya is currently located in Europe. She was forced to leave Belarus just a few days after the presidential elections on August 9, due to pressure and threats from the authorities.
