With 500 new confirmed cases, Russia's total number of known coronavirus infections hits 2,337

On March 31, Russia recorded another 500 new cases of coronavirus in the past day, raising the nation’s total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections to 2,337. Health officials reported no new deaths, leaving the coronavirus fatality count at 17 people, while 55 new recoveries brought the total number of recovered patients to 121 people.

As has been the case throughout Russia’s coronavirus epidemic, most of the new cases (387) were reported in Moscow, while 48 were reported in St. Petersburg and nine cases were found in Dagestan. In total, coronavirus has officially reached 75 of Russia’s 85 regions.
