Latvia wants to reunite two Russian national security threats

Latvia is deporting Russian journalist Olga Kurlaeva, whose husband was also recently expelled from the country. Kurlaeva, who works for the VGTRK broadcasting company, told Rossiya 24 that she was visited at her hotel room by the same border police who came two days earlier for her husband. Kurlaeva says she was told that she’s been deemed a national security threat and ordered to leave within 24 hours. “I’m being expelled,” she said. 

TV Tsentr, which employs Kurlaeva’s husband, Anatoly Kurlaev, previously denounced his deportation from Latvia, saying it represents the government's prejudice against Russian journalists.
