Source: Interfax

North Korea has opened its first travel agency in Russia. On its website, “NKOREAN” says it will conduct tours in Russian, English, French, and Chinese. Most tours, the agency says, will be for groups of 10 people or fewer. Individual tours will also be available. The shortest trip offered last five days and costs 59,000 rubles ($1,000) per traveler, and individuals have to pay their own way to Vladivostok, where the tour begins.

“I hope NKOREAN will be a breakthrough,” says Sergey Golov, president of Russia’s Travel Agencies Union. “For our tourists, for the consumer, this is very important. There’s great interest.”

Before the opening of NKOREAN, all Russians traveling to North Korea went on trips organized by Russian travel agencies.
