Estonian resident confesses to spying on Russian troops and receives 11-year sentence

Estonian resident (non-citizen) Arsen Mardaleishvili has confessed to spying on the Russian military, revealed Russia’s security service the FSB.
According to the press service, the man admitted that he had collected data on Russia’s Western Military District for the Security Police Department of Estonia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs. Mardalejvili was convicted of espionage and sentenced to 11 years in a high-security prison.
The FSB reported Mardaleishvili’s detention in May 2016. His trial was closed to the public.
