The office's employees arrived to work this morning to find an announcement hanging on the door to their office reading that access to the premises could be restored only with the approval of Moscow's Property Department. The locks to the office where replaced with new ones. According to Kondratenko, nothing of this sort has ever happened in the 20 years that Amnesty International has been renting its office space in Moscow.

Kondratenko said that the organization has not yet been unable to get in touch with Moscow authorities to learn why their office has been sealed.

Amnesty International is an international human rights organization. It is one of the most famous and influential human rights organizations in the world.
