Navalny: $14 million allocated to Putin's daughter's foundation

Anti-Corruption Committee head Alexei Navalny revealed that the Innopraktika foundation received no less than 877 million rubles (approximately $12 million) in funding in 2015-2016. Innopraktika is directed Ekaterina Tikhonova, who is, according to media reports, the youngest daughter of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to Navalny, Innopraktika won almost 452 million rubles (approximately $7.2 million) in contracts from state-owned companies, amongst which were Rosneft and Transneft. Innopraktika received additional funding in the amount of 425 million rubles (approximately $6.8 million), said Navalny, some unknown sources.

In early 2015, RBK and Reuters cited unnamed sources as saying that Innopraktika director Katerina Tikhonova is Putin's daughter. Innopraktika is involved in an expensive project to expand Moscow State University. RBK estimated the project's value at 110 billion rubles (approximately $17.6 billion).

Putin refuses to talk about what his daughters do. During a press conference in December 2015, he said only that they live in Russia. Putin did not respond to the direct question of whether Katerina Tikhonova his daughter.
